EVALROM is organising in co-operation with European Evaluation Society a professional development workshop. The Workshop will be held on the 26th of November 2009 and will be hosted by the Dept. of Sociology of University of Bucharest. Details in the section "Activities".

 The European Evaluation Society (EES) and the German Evaluation Society are organising the annual meeting of the National Evaluation Societies of Europe (NESE) in Munster (October 6-7, 2009). The meeting aims at facilitating the exchange between National Evaluation Societies and the EES Discussion of structure, the organization and goals of the NESE and its partnership with the EES, and the preparation of a public statement on the organization and future perspectives of the NESE.

The Institute for Ecological Economy Research and the Ecologic - Institute for International and European Environmental Policy from Germany are organsing the international Conference "Assessing an Undefined Concept: The Role of Sustainable Development in Policy Evaluation" (Brussels, June 15-16, 2009). The European Evaluation Society (EES), in partnership with the Swiss Evaluation Society and the University of Fribourg, is organising the European Symposium on Evaluative Practices in Higher Education (Fribourg, June 5th, 2009). More information is available on the EES website (www.europeanevaluation.org).

The National Evaluation Conference was held in Bucharest, on the 18th of February 2009, under the auspices of the Phare Project "The Development of a Professional Evaluation Community". For the content of the presentations please check the "Resources" page.

Evalrom and The National Authority for the Coordination of the Structural Instruments - The Evaluation Central Unit within the Romanian Ministry of Economy and Finance organised the Regional Seminars for the development of the evaluation community in Cluj (November 21, 2008) and Iasi (November 28, 2008).

The national debate on the Code of Ethics of the Romanian evaluators was launched - more on "Activities".
